Cycle4Change all started from a simple dream discussed among friends one Saturday night: We wanted to ride some big kilometres in a short space of time. But it wasn't enough to just ride for fun. We wanted to raise money to make a positive impact in the lives of kids who have suffered abuse or neglect through donating to Southern Cross Kids Camps. After months of work-shopping, we decided that talking wasn’t enough and we would do it. We took action.

In it’s inaugural year 2017, a bunch of 9 friends planned and self-funded a ride from Canberra to Melbourne over 4 days. We raised a little over $23,000, 100% of which which went to SCKC. The fun, success and satisfaction of this first ride got us thinking about future rides immediately.

In March 2018 a team of 17 riders rode around north western Tasmania and raised over $56,000.

We hope that this now annual event will continue to grow each year, raising money and creating a greater awareness of the work that SCKC do through their camps. Most importantly, we want to provide opportunities for kids to have positive experiences; a time where they receive unconditional love; a place of safety and a week of happy memories.
